So, having some blogging stuff to say, and some not exactly blogger stuff to say, I have decided All of it gets to be blogger stuff today! [laughs]. My brother (now in the air force, stationed in Kansas) is visiting for a friend's birthday. so he and a friend Kat agreed to go to Tango with me last night. It was nice, even though it wasn't really their thing. I got to show him off [laughs] which is always funny. Some people think he is me, if they see him and not me, and others don't realize we're related until they look twice and realize we look as similar as identical twins with different haircuts and tans do. It was a good night though, dance-wise. Dance-types, you know what I mean when I say the music was as good as always, but somehow you were in the groove more than usual, so you were just on fire. It was like that for me. My connection with the people I danced with was on more than usual. Someone I met last tuesday at the Tango Houston meeting and danced with afterward at the art gallery, I thought she sucked on tuesday, but I guess it had been me, because she danced beautifully last night. And my normal partners, Amy and Irina, last week dancing was a little off, sort of a back-step if you will, but this week was way way further ahead. Amy was following me much better than usual, which I can only assume was partly I was leading her much better than usual [laughs]. She is improving a lot; all the other guys always ask her to dance at least for a few dances. And near the end of the night, I was dancing with Irina to some modern tango music and it just...worked, beautifully. She got tired of my body position opening into a V, and so she moved my left hand down to her elbow, and we just walked, and it was amazing tango for 2 songs before I had to jet to get Amy home by midnight. Anyway, the foursome of me, my bro (Raphael), long time friend and recent girlfriend of my bro (Kat), and Amy are going to the museum of natural science and possibly the Aquarium, which I don't believe I've been to. Kat has a coupon to get 4 in for free [laughs], and since the conversation was good with Amy, they decided to invite her as well, since I had expressed a desire to not be a 3rd wheel but had no one to invite. I wish I could figure out the secret to making every night a good dance night, but who knows. I just have to hope it'll last through next week, since I'm working the weekend and don't think I'll get out to anything. Oh, and I just found out that Raph named me sole person in charge of making medical decisions for him, if he happens to be incapacitated or something. You know, military people have to do stuff like write a will and things when they join, since they never know how things are going to work out. blah. I can donate his organs for him, and pull the plug, yah, no problem [laughs]. anyway, gotta finish getting ready for the day. au revoir, blogger (and kisses for my love... "eww! pda!" you may all outcry).
